Here are some helpful tips and information for The CI Summit 2024.

Day Rate (with no in and out privileges) = $35

Dress Code:
Dress however you feel comfortable but casual to business casual is suggested.
Do I need my parka and snow pants?
We don’t predict the weather, but we do check the forecast. As it looks now, you won’t need to dress for bitter cold wintry weather that can happen this time of year in Toronto. The current forecast is calling for highs of 3°C/37°F and lows of 0°C/32F° with an occasional snow/rain mix.
How long is the event expected to last?
We kickoff the Summit on Tuesday at noon with the opening of Herb’s Hall, our largest exhibitor area in our Summit history. A bonus session of a debrief on the Toronto Maple Leafs Design-athon, designed for young professionals from underserved, racialized or Indigenous communities with the objectives to inspire participants about careers in sports & STEM, is at 1 pm on Tuesday and the formal start of The CI Summit 2024 at 2:00 pm. The first day wraps up after our evening event expected to end around 9 pm.
Day 2 starts with breakfast at 8 am and The CI Summit 2024 closes at 6:15 pm. Note, a bonus session for coaches runs until 8 pm. (All Summit attendees are welcomed at this program).

Any member of The CI Team will be able to help you onsite and will be certain that your inquiry is answered.

Where do I check-in for the Summit?
The registration desk is located in the main foyer of the lower level of the Hilton at the bottom of the escalators starting at noon on January 30, 2024.
Where in the Hilton is The CI Summit taking place.
All of The CI Summit will be taking place on the lower level of the Hilton. Upon entering the hotel’s main lobby, please proceed towards the back of the lobby and use the escalators or elevators to ascend to the lower level.
What is “Herb’s Hall”
We have set up our largest exhibitor space yet, aptly named “Herb’s Hall.” So, please be sure to visit with our exhibitors! “Herb’s Hall” opens at noon.
Our friends at Air Canada will be hosting a special meet-and-greet with PWHL stars Sarah Nurse and Emerance Maschmeyer.
Why & how should I download The CI Summit 2024 app?
Downloading and using the The CI Summit app will enrich your experience. It provides you an up-to-date schedule, bios on all panelists and speakers, notifications, ability to ask questions during panels, and includes great networking tools.
The app is quite intuitive to set up and use but here are some steps to help you.
- Go to the “App Store” on your phone and search for the “Cvent Events” App
- Download the App
- Open the App and search for “The Carnegie Initiative Summit 2024”
- Log in using the name and email address you registered with
- After you log in, the Cvent App will send a verification code to your email. Plug in the code and you’ll have access to the app.
- Follow the instructions provided by the App. You can choose to remain anonymous. However, we encourage you to input your personal information so others at the conference can reach out to you, and you can network with others directly through the App.
- For assistance in using the Cvent App, please visit a member of the The CI Staff or one of our volunteers.

Is there wifi?
Free wifi can be accessed using the password: CISUMMIT2024
Where can I charge my phone?
The Canadian Tire Lounge (in the Carmichael/Jackson Room) will offer a variety of phone chargers. If the room is occupied, please ask the staff at the registration table.
Is photography or videography allowed during the event?
Not only is it permitted, it’s encouraged inside the ballroom and Herb’s Hall. Share with us and help tell the story of The CI Summit 2024! We ask that everyone refrain from taking pictures of videos during the breakout sessions.
Please be aware that any content shared grants The CI permission to freely use it, without compensation, for publicity efforts, now or in the future.

Where can I see photos and videos taken by attendees during the event?
The CI Summit Gallery features the moments captured and shared by Summit attendees and can be viewed at www.CarnegieInitiative.com/ci-summit-2024-through-your-lens. This gallery will be populated throughout the Summit and remain accessible long into the future.
